  • Hooker Furniture said third quarter revenue increased 13.6% to $151.6 million and the company swung to a profit of $4.8 million or 42 cents a share from a loss of $1.2 million or 10 cents a year ago.

        • Costco Wholesale said fiscal first quarter sales increased 8.1% to $53.4 billion and net income increased to $1.36 billion from $1.32 billion or $3.07 from $2.98 a diluted share a year ago.
          • DocuSign said third quarter revenue increased 18% to $645.5 million and net loss widened to $29.8 million from $5.7 million or 15 cents from 3 cents a share from a year ago.

            • The RBI lifted its key rate by 35 basis points to 6.25%, the fifth rate hike in a row following the 50 basis points increase in September. GDP growth estimate was revised lower to 6.8% from 7.0%.
              • China's international trade surplus shrank to $69.8 billion in November from $85.15 billion in October, exports fell 8.7% and imports declined 10.6%.
                • The eurozone September quarter economic growth was revised higher to 0.3% from the previous estimate of 0.2% following 0.8% expansion in June quarter, Eurostat said on Wednesday.
                  • European market indexes declined for the fourth session in a row on the rising prospects of a global recession in 2023 and weak resource stocks led the decliners.
                    • The average mortgage rate fell 8 basis points to 6.41% for 30-year fixed-rate mortgages for conforming loan balances with 20% down payment, the Mortgage Bankers Association said Wednesday.
