The fund seeks primarily total return and secondarily limiting risk by investing in companies in the United States.
The investment process starts with a list of companies in the benchmark index and the research team utilizes quantitative techniques and fundamental analysis to identify investment opportunities.
The process employs a fund of funds strategy which means it invests primarily in other funds.
Next, the research team invests in unaffiliated equity exchange traded funds designed to track U.S. equity indices, and U.S. money markets.
The team also invests in unaffiliated fixed income ETFs designed to track major U.S. fixed-income indices and/or benchmark bonds including U.S. investment-grade bonds, U.S. Treasuries, and mortgage-backed securities of all maturities.
In addition, the team also monitors price movements and price trends of equity markets.
Then the manager constructs a portfolio of stocks from a list of companies favored by the research team and allocates capital based on its conviction level.
The manager may invest all or a portion of the fund’s net assets in equity ETFs, bond ETFs or money market funds at any given time, depending on its assessment of market trends and other factors.
