Richard A. Barone is, and has been since 2004, the portfolio manager of Ancora Income Fund and Ancora Special Opportunity Fund and is responsible for the day-to-day management of such Funds. 

In addition to his responsibilities with the Funds, Richard A. Barone serves as Chairman Emeritus of The Ancora Group Inc., which is the parent company of the Advisor. Mr. Barone served as a member of the Executive Committee of The Ancora Group Inc. until December 31, 2015.

From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Barone served as portfolio manager of Fifth Third Bancorp’s asset management subsidiary, Fifth Third Investment Advisors.

Prior to 2001, Mr. Barone was Chief Executive Officer of Maxus Investment Group, a financial services company, and was the portfolio manager of Maxus Income Fund, Maxus Equity Fund and Maxus Aggressive Value Fund.
