Ric Dillon is the CEO of VELA Investment Management, LLC. From May 2000 through December 2015, he was CEO of Diamond Hill Investment Group ("DHIL"), a publicly-held, asset management firm based in Columbus, Ohio.

During his tenure as CEO, DHIL ranked in the top 1% of all public companies in the US in terms of shareholder total return, with an annualized total return of 27%.

Ric began his investment career in 1977, after graduating from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Business Administration. He also holds an M.A. from OSU, as well as an MBA from the University of Dayton.

Ric has the CFA designation from the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute, and is a member of the Columbus Society of Financial Analysts.
