Peter Baughan is a co-lead portfolio manager of the Global Equity strategy and a Consumer Discretionary and Industrials analyst. Peter is also a Partner of the firm and has over 30 years of industry experience.

He joined Harding Loevner in 1997 as an analyst after nine years at Rockefeller & Co. While at Rockefeller, Peter spent two years in New York as an investment analyst and the balance in Europe as manager of the firm’s private equity investments.

From 1983 to 1988, he worked at Chase Manhattan Bank. Following credit training and two years of international credit audit, Peter spent two years in Jakarta managing problem loan workouts.

He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA in Political Science and is a CFA® charterholder.
