Michael Pendergast is a Managing Partner, serving as HGK’s Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer. Michael was an original member of the Firm, working as an analyst until 1991, when he began managing the Large Cap Value strategy; he continues to manage this strategy today.

Michael earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics and Finance from Bernard M. Baruch College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He completed the Chartered Financial Analyst program in 1988 and is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.
