Michael Skillman joined Cadence Capital Management in 1994 and serves as Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director and member of the portfolio management team.

Additionally, he is a member of the investment team and Managing Director. Mr. Skillman also serves on the Executive Board of Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business. Throughout his professional experience, Mr. Skillman has served in a variety of capacities in the investment industry.

Prior to joining Cadence, he served as Vice President for Pacific Financial Asset Management Corp. (PFAMCo—Cadence’s previous parent company). He worked as an Analyst with Pacific Mutual Life Insurance Company and was a Financial Analyst in the aerospace industry with Aerojet General Corporation.

Mr. Skillman graduated from California State University, Chico with a BS in business administration—finance.
