Marc Reinganum served as senior managing director and global head of active equities at State Street Global Advisors. Prior to joining SSGA, he was co-head of the Main Street Team and senior portfolio manager and director of quantitative research at OppenheimerFunds.

He also served as the Mary Jo Vaughn Rauscher Chair in Financial Investments at Southern Methodist University, and the Phillips Professor of Finance as well as the director of the Financial Markets Institute at the University of Iowa.

He is on the Advisory Board of the Journal of Portfolio Management and executive vice president of The Institute for Quantitative Research in Finance (Q Group). He has been featured on the cover of Money magazine and interviewed by the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Bloomberg, Fortune, CNBC, and NPR for insights into the financial markets.

Reinganum joined NYU Stern as a visiting professor of finance in September 2018 and has consulted for institutional asset managers since 2016. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of Emerson College as well as the Founders Council of ArtsEmerson and the Advisory Board of the Lumin Education Foundation in Dallas, TX.

Reinganum earned his bachelor’s degree with high honors from Oberlin College and an MBA and doctorate from the University of Chicago.
