James (Jim) Ayer is a Senior Portfolio Manager for the Invesco Oppenheimer International Equity strategy.                       

Mr. Ayer joined Invesco when the firm combined with OppenheimerFunds in 2019. He returned to OppenheimerFunds in 2013 after working for the firm from 1992 to 1995 as portfolio manager and research analyst on the global equity team.

Prior to  returning to the firm, Mr. Ayer was a portfolio manager, general partner, and member of the executive management committee at Tiedemann Investment Group. He began his investment career as an international equities research analyst with Brown Brothers Harriman in 1988.

Mr. Ayer earned a BA degree from Yale University and an M. Phil. from Oxford University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) charterholder.
