Andrew J. Knuth founded Westport Asset Management, Inc. in 1983 and is Chairman, Chief Investment Officer and a portfolio manager for the firm. He has more than 40 years of security analysis and portfolio management experience. Mr. Knuth was an organizing member of the Institutional Equity Group for Lazard Freres and Company LLC, and spent two years with them specializing in investment research for institutional clients.

From 1969 through 1981, Mr. Knuth was director of research for Lieber & Company, the investment adviser to the Evergreen Funds. From 1966 to 1969, Mr. Knuth was a security analyst for Vanden Broeck, Lieber & Company.

From 1962 to 1966, he was involved in portfolio management with the Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company.

Mr. Knuth holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Dickinson College and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from New York University.
