The sub-adviser’s investment process starts with a list of companies in the benchmark index and the research team utilizes quantitative techniques and fundamental analysis to identify investment opportunities.

Next, the research team focuses on companies whose businesses and technologies focus on environmental markets, including alternative energy and energy efficiency; water infrastructure technologies and pollution control; environmental support services and waste management technologies; and sustainable food, agriculture and forestry.

The research process is driven by fundamental analysis of one stock at a time. In selecting securities for the portfolio, the research team focuses on companies with positive overall environmental performance.

The team also prefers companies whose products or services help other companies and countries improve their environmental performance.

Also, the research team integrates environmental, social and governance factors as part of its process.

Then the manager constructs a portfolio of stocks from a list of companies favored by the research team and allocates capital based on its conviction level.

The fund has the flexibility to invest in growth or value stocks or a combination of both.

The fund will invest in securities of companies located around the world, including at least 40% of its net assets in securities of non-U.S. issuers, including those located in emerging markets.
