MFS Blended Research Value Equity Fund

The fund seeks capital appreciation by investing in mega-and large-size companies in the United States.

The investment process is designed to identify companies that are undervalued relative to their estimated intrinsic value.

Then the research team blends fundamental and quantitative research to identify investment opportunities.

The team employs fundamental analysis to determine a fundamental rating and quantitative analysis to determine a quantitative rating for an issuer. Next, the team combines the fundamental rating with the quantitative rating to create a blended rating for an issuer.

The portfolio construction is driven by a portfolio optimization process that considers the blended rating, as well as issuer, industry, and sector weightings, market capitalization, and volatility.

The fund invests in high-quality companies that are trading at favorable valuations with a near-term catalyst that may lead stock price higher.

Although the fund primarily invests in securities issued by large-capitalization companies, it has the flexibility to invest its assets across market capitalizations.

The fund may invest its net assets in securities of foreign issuers or across different industries and sectors, but may invest significantly in issuers in a single industry or sector.
