The team identifies long-term secular growth trends, and focuses on those industry leaders with attractive growth and valuation characteristics that will be long-term beneficiaries of any structural change and/or trend.
In addition, the team prefers high-quality companies with a sustainable competitive advantage, a superior business model and a high-quality management team.
Then the manager constructs a portfolio of stocks from a list of companies favored by the research team and allocates capital based on its conviction level.
The fund invests primarily in developed markets but also may invest up to 35% of its net assets in emerging and less developed markets.
Also, the fund may invest to a limited extent in equity-linked securities that provide economic exposure to a security of one or more non-US companies without direct investment in the underlying securities.
